| "Red sky at night, sailor’s delight". This old verse meant good weather was on the horizon and what better way to chart a course than with this delightful Compass Rose. Brilliant reds and blues surrounded by antique black simulate clearing skies with the evening sunset harkening fair seas for the voyage. Bordered by waves and multy-coloured triangles that sparkle like jewels on a string, this interpretation of Navigator’s Delight was hooked by my good friend Mary. Her subtle changes to the pattern and experience in the dye pot made for a rug to be proud of and deservedly so, a name of its own.
