| The inspiration for this rug came by way of my husband’s love of the sea. The intense colour palette of blues reflect the depth of the ocean. A radiating sun backdrops the Cardinal points that direct your eyes to South, East and West while a magnificent Fleur-de-lis points to Compass North. The spectacular blend of colour in this rug is highlighted by a simple, yet striking border of navy which frames a red and pale yellow stripe. I loved the completed project so much that I drew out the pattern and painted my office floor exactly like the rug.
