Wool Widget

This is a dip dyeing tool hubby made for me a few years back.   Holding the wool with just my fingers meant scalded digits and I didn't like using tongs as they were too awkward to handle and  kept slipping so the wool would fall into the dyebath, plus you need two hands and two pairs of tongs to hold the wool open and vertical, so he came to my rescue yet again.

Tah dah!  This little Wool Widget works well.  There is a knob handle for safe holding, the wood floats if you want to lay it in the water and you don't care if it gets wet.  The brass hooks hold the wool nicely along the salvage edge and you can wrap it around once or twice, depending on the size of wool needed.

Simple to make and easy to control when dipping the wool up and down in the water.
Maybe I should have these made for the shop?

I'd like to see it in action because I can't imagine the brass hooks holding for very long but perhaps I'm not visualizing right. If the block itself 'floats' won't it take on the color of the dye bath then transfer when you dye a different color? I know many questions, but curious to know your answers.
Thanks,
Della

The weight of the wool holds it on the hooks. There have been times when the wool will slip off a hook but I just put it back on. You don't normally let it lay in the water anyway, but incase you needed to grab a pan or something to put the wool in you could temporarily let it rest on top of the water. It's been my exprience that wood doesn't transfer dye. My Widget is hardly stained with any colour at all. It's hardwood so not as obsorbant as a soft wood like pine. Maybe I should do a little video on the site showing how I use it.

The brass hooks will get a bit corroded from vinegar but that can be stopped by using clear fingernail polish to coat them. All in all I think it does the best job than any other means I've tried.

I've given the Wool Widget to the chap who makes my frames and he came up with a beautiful design that I will demonstrate in a video this coming week and post on here. The Widgets will be for sale on my website as well. Stay tuned!

EFFECTIVE LOVE SPELL TO GET EX HUSBAND/BOYFRIEND OR EX WIFE/GIRLFRIEND AND CURE HERPES AND INFERTILITY THAT WORKS WITHIN 24 HOURS.

Contact Great Odunga at [email protected] OR Whats App/CALL +2348167159012

I got my ex husband back to me and also got fertile and gave birth to twin girls after 12 years of marriage.
When I came online last year, I saw a testimony about Great Odunga and how he has been helping people with marriage issues and I decided to contact him. We spoke on email at [email protected] and later he gave me his Whats-App number which is +2348167159012. He assured me he would help me get my ex husband back after 3 years of no contact. Great Odunga is the best spell caster I must say. My husband called me after 24 hours of contact. The third day, I received natural herbs for fertility and after using it, I became fertile and conceived. My husband and I reconnected, had sex and I was pregnant. Presently I am happy to say I am the mother of twin girls and this is ALL THANKS TO GREAT ODUNGA. I came online to say this: If you need help, I believe you are saved with this man.

Contact his email at [email protected] OR [email protected]

Whats App/Call +2348167159012 and you too will give a testimony too to help others
